who's this course for?
I created Art Camp because kids aren't the only ones who should be allowed to have fun. We've all had a few very serious years, and I've found that creativity and play are part of our collective healing.
This course is open to anyone who is wanting to explore new ideas through the creative process. You do not need to be an artist to enjoy this class or do the projects. I love the variety of people in every course.
If you are looking an experience to spark ideas and open you up to new possibilities, we'd love to have you!

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING....
"Art Camp was so much fun.
Not only are you unpacking
some pretty significant life experiences, baggage, and opening your eyes to new perspectives and ways of being, but you have a whole cohort alongside you doing the same.
Jackie leads in a fun way, while also creating space for vulnerability."

"Art Camp was a sweet release during a dark season. Working as a therapist during a global pandemic has been exhausting. Having these weekly activities to do & the community to connect with was really a much needed break from the monotony of every day grind. I loved all the lists—dreaming up what we’d do if we weren’t scared. It really pushed me to see how much was actually accessible to me and I got out there and did some “scary” stuff that turned out to be way more fun when it was all said and done.
Coming into the space as a “non-creative” and leaving inspired about how to reimagine MY creativity and what I bring to the world was a freeing experience. I’ve been able to use some activities in therapy sessions with clients to break their mental blocks & re-inspire my work. So grateful for this unique and super fun camp & would recommend it to anyone in a funk or the cusp of some new life adventures!"

"I enrolled in Art Camp at a time when I least wanted to do it. I was busy, overworked, overwhelmed. And it ended up being the time I needed it the most.
Going through Art Camp reintroduced joy and delight and play into my life, allowing me to access my creativity that I had been pushing to the back burner for so long."

FAQs
WHO IS ART CAMP FOR?
Art Camp is open to anyone who is ready to explore creativity and is open to new ideas, no matter your stage of life. We've had a variety of people love the course - from college students, to those in busy stages of career + parenting, to empty nesters + retirees looking for their next steps. In fact, the diversity of the community adds a richness as we listen + learn from lots of people.
DO I NEED TO BE AN ARTIST?
Nope! You do not need to call yourself an artist to take the class or have a certain level of skill or interest to be part of this. It is designed in a way that anyone can complete the projects. You also don't need to feel embarrassed about your skill level in any way - we'll be talking a lot about recovering the joy of play.
HOW DO THE LESSONS WORK?
You will get a video lesson in your inbox every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, so you can watch whenever you want. You'll have access to the videos for 6 months, so no worries if you get behind. Each lesson has built in reflection time, so plan on 20-30 minutes per lesson.
WHAT ARE THE PROJECTS?
There are a variety of projects for the lessons: idea exploring, creative prompts, reflection questions, and a few fun ones to help you think outside the box ;) We'll be learning how to give ourselves permission to try new things.
WHAT IS THE COMMUNITY ASPECT?
We will have a group discussion board within the platform where we will be posting our projects + chatting about the lessons further. There will be opportunity to connect with other students as you want to!
BUT JACKIE, I'M AN INTROVERT...
Don't worry, I don't believe in forced sharing, so none of it will be required for the class. Think of it as an invitation to community.
DO I NEED TO KNOW A CERTAIN TYPE OF ART? WHAT MEDIUM WILL WE WORK WITH?
You'll be able to use any medium for your projects. We will do some written reflection questions, but I would encourage you to try different mediums for your projects. Again, you don't need to have any artistic skills to enjoy this class!
HOW MUCH WILL THE MATERIALS FOR THE PROJECTS COST?
You can decide if you want to spend money for the projects. All of them can be completed with minimal materials, but if you are excited about trying something new, I would encourage you to invest in those materials.
